Etihad Airways is the national airline of the United Arab Emirates, based in Abu Dhabi.Etihad Airways was established in July 2003 by a royal decree and began commercial operations in November 2003.The airline's main headquarters is located in Abu Dhabi, the capital city of the UAE.As of my last update in September 2021, Etihad had a fleet primarily consisting of Airbus and Boeing aircraft, including the Airbus A380, Airbus A350, and Boeing 787 Dreamliner among others.

Etihad serves destinations on six continents, including major cities in Asia, Europe, North America, Africa, Australia, and the Middle East.Over the years, Etihad has garnered numerous awards for its onboard services, especially for its premium classes.Etihad offers various cabin classes such as Economy, Business, and First Class. Additionally, on some Airbus A380 flights, they introduced "The Residence" – a luxurious three-room suite, which is an unprecedented level of luxury for commercial flights.

The airline's loyalty program is called "Etihad Guest", allowing passengers to earn and spend miles with Etihad and its partners.In the late 2010s and early 2020s, Etihad faced some economic challenges related to its investments in other global airlines, some of which faced financial difficulties or bankruptcy. As a result, the airline underwent restructuring efforts to streamline its operations and focus on profitable routes.

Etihad has shown a commitment to sustainability with initiatives aimed at reducing carbon emissions and investing in more sustainable aviation fuels.
